The project will enable the library to apply and automatically program labels according to data in its catalogue, ensuring that items are stored in their proper place on the shelves. Workstations for employees throughout the library will be networked by means of the OPAC system and SIP2 protocol, enabling remote monitoring and modification of devices and programs.
In addition to providing King Fahad National Library with RFID hardware and software, and relevant technical documentation, Naseej will train library staff in the use of the technology and carry out knowledge transfer.
