Naseej the Arab world’s leader in Knowledge Management Solutions has successfully concluded its Gold Sponsorship of the IFLA/AFLI Second Regional Conference held in collaboration with bibliotheca Alexandrina, in Alexandria, Egypt, on June 8-9, 2015.

This year, the conference adopted the theme “Arabic Libraries Coping with The renewable Information Environment”. The event discussed the IFLA Trends Report. It elaborated on key issues, including how to provide seamless access to information and learning, how to protect patron’s privacy and engage the civil community. It also shed more light on technological transformation and how to develop Arabic Libraries in a way to keep up with the new information landscape.

At the end of the conference, Naseej announced its leading initiative and contribution to the Arab libraries and information centers by presenting The First Arabic Cataloging Practice Guide for RDA Rules using MARC21.

Naseej has completed the Guide by March 2015; and will make it free for all Arab libraries and information centers through Naseej Web Site & Arabic Union Catalog Web Site.

At the exhibition organized alongside the conference, Naseej showcased its latest library management solutions, including Innovative’sSierra Library Services Platform for academic and research libraries, and SirsiDynix’sSymphony for public libraries. Naseej also offered its state-of-the-art3M RFID Technologies for Libraries, includingItems Security, Collections Management andSelf-Service systems. In addition, Nassej presented B2NDigitization Solutions for libraries.
